බ්ලේස් පැස්කල් (1623 ජුනි 19 , 1662 අගෝස්තු 19) ප්‍රංශ ජාතික ගණිතඥයෙක්, භෞතිකවාදියෙකු හා ආගමික දර්ශනවාදියෙකු වේ. ඔහු කුඩා කළ අසිරිමත් දරුවකු විය. ඔහු තම පියාගෙන් අධ්‍යාපනය ලබා ගත්තේය. පැස්කල්ගේ මුල් වැඩ කටයුතු සිදු වූයේ ස්වාභාවික හා ව්‍යවහාරික විද්‍යාවෙනි. එහිදී ඔහුගේ වැදගත්ම ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම වූයේ ඔහු විසින් නිර්මාණය කළ යාන්ත්‍රික ගණක යන්ත්‍රයයි. තවද තරල පිළිබඳ හැදෑරීම් හා ඉවාන්ගෙලිස්ටා ටොරිශෙලිගේ පීඩනය හා රික්තය පිළිබඳ මූලධර්මය පැහැදිලි කිරීම ද අයත් වේ. මෙහි දී පැස්කල් විද්‍යාත්මක ක්‍රමය ආරක්ෂා කර ගනිමින් එම ලිපි ලිවීය.
