ස්වභාවික විද්‍යාව

The natural sciences seek to understand how the world and universe around us works. There are five major branches: astronomy, physics, chemistry, Earth science, and biology.

ස්වභාවිකවේද (ඉංග්‍රීසි:  Natural science) යනු නිරීක්ෂණ සහ අත්හදා බැලීම් වල ආනුභවික සාක්ෂි මත පදනම්ව ස්වභාවික සංසිද්ධි විස්තර කිරීම, අවබෝධ කර ගැනීම සහ පුරෝකථනය කිරීම සම්බන්ධ නවීන විද්‍යාවේ ශාඛා වලින් එකකි. විද්‍යාත්මක ප්‍රගතියේ වලංගුභාවය සහතික කිරීමට උත්සාහ කිරීම සඳහා peer review සහ repeatability of findings වැනි යාන්ත්‍රණ භාවිතා වේ.
